Double telecentric imaging lens allows high angular accuracy in contrast to standard imaging optics

 

Accurate angular and spatial emission properties of light sources is needed to qualify and predict the performances of any lighting system. Thanks to its great experience in the field of optical metrology, ELDIM is pleased to present its new EUMaster source imaging goniophotometer that allows full characterization of light sources with unprecedented accuracy. Using double telecentric imaging optics its allows capturing luminance and color images from thousands of angular viewpoints around the source with a great accuracy in the angles all over the imaging field. Excellent color and luminance accuracy is obtained with a monochrome CCD sensor and high transmission color filters adjusted to its spectral response. Light flux is automatically adjusted by motorized neutral densities. Ray generations in different practical formats are available for a best use of these data with all major ray tracing soft wares. All these features make this tool the ideal solution for small and medium size light source characterization.
